At Waldrop Chiropractic and Wellness, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic wellness care to our patients. Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic services we offer in our Starkville office.
We provide spinal corrections utilizing gentle chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Rachel Waldrop has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
Throughout one’s pregnancy, there may be pain and/or discomfort in the back and neck due to the ligaments and joints loosening up. Utilize chiropractic care to help realign your spinal cord and the ligaments and muscles that surround it to lessen pain and promote health throughout your pregnancy and during birth.
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently so that they don’t aggravate their particular health challenge. We also provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient ́s return to optimal health. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle. Rachel Waldrop can provide a structured lifestyle and/or nutritional program based on your individual needs. We recognize that each patient is a whole person, and helping them reach true health and wellness is a collaborative effort between our professionals and our patients.
Dr Rachel Waldrop provides SpineCor Bracing.
SpineCor treatment keeps the body moving while intelligently managing the spinal position in a curved spine.
The objective of the Spinecor Brace is to stabilize the spine by re-training movement patterns while holding the spine in a corrected (de-rotated) position. Treatment is applied with the compressive force of gravity and the brace in order to influence the shape of growing bones. The Spinecor brace is custom fitted and configured specifically for each patient depending upon the location and direction of the scoliosis.
Laser Therapy -
Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is a scientifically proven way to reduce pain and inflammation. Laser therapy generates a photochemical response in damaged tissue by a process called photobiomodulation. This process stimulates healing on a cellular level by enabling cells to more rapidly produce energy (ATP). Treatments are fast, safe, painless, and most patients experience results after only a few sessions.
Muscle stimulation therapy, or e-Stim, is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation to treat pain and muscle spasms.
We approach myofascial adhesion and trigger points using a therapy called “Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization”(IASTM). This approach to fascia work reduces friction which allows for precision, sensitivity and depth that cannot be accomplished with the hands, knuckles, elbows etc. IASTM instruments make it easier to detect and treat fascial dysfunction. They magnify the abnormalities (scars, restrictions and adhesions) in the fascia and make it easier to locate the area to treat. Using a tool focuses the force through an area smaller than your finger with less friction which allows a more efficient treatment. The goal is to trigger an inflammatory healing response. This will stimulate the production of new collagen and proper, functional, pain-free healing.
At Waldrop Chiropractic and Wellness we use non surgical spinal decompression (axial traction) to help treat back or neck pain, sciatica, bulging or herniated discs, worn spinal joints, and injured or diseased spinal nerve roots. Spinal decompression gently stretches the spine to change the force and position of the spine. By making this change, pressure is removed from the spinal discs and bulging or herniated discs may retract.
